AI & End-to-End IT Services

From the modelto the operation.

BluMargins is a pure AI and end-to-end IT services company. We build the intelligence, the software, the data platforms, the cloud, and the digital control systems that organisations run on, and we ship them both as products you can license and as engagements we deliver from first workshop to running system.

Wafer map. Each square is one die and the bright block is the field under test. Squares drop in from above and land on the dies that make up our own mark. The same loop runs inside what we build, from a model in production to a controller on a plant floor.

What we build

Our service architecture

Eight practice areas across the whole stack: deep AI and machine learning, custom software, data platforms, cloud and DevOps, digital control systems, cybersecurity, managed IT, and independent advisory.

How it connects

The delivery stack

Five layers, one team. What we build at each, and why none of them can be optimised alone.

01

Intelligence

Models, agents, vision, and forecasting, with the retrieval layer that grounds them, the evaluation that proves them, and the guardrails that stop them where they should stop.

AI and machine learning
02

Applications

The web, mobile, and back-end systems a business actually runs on, designed for correctness under load and documented for the team that inherits them.

Software and product engineering
03

Data

Lakehouse storage, streaming pipelines, one semantic layer, and column-level lineage, so a number means the same thing in two rooms on the same afternoon.

Data engineering and analytics
04

Cloud and platform

Migration, internal developer platforms, Kubernetes, and reliability engineering, so shipping does not require a ticket and the bill is explainable.

Cloud, DevOps and infrastructure
05

Control and edge

DCS, SCADA, and industrial IoT: deterministic control, redundant hardware, rationalised alarms, and inference running where the machine is.

Digital control systems

Where software meets machinery

Digital control systems

The part of IT that has to be right the first time, and the part most software firms do not do.

Explore digital control systems

A digital control system is the software that runs a physical process: a refinery, a grid, a water network, a production line, or a building. It cannot pause for an update, it cannot ask a person to retry, and every action it takes has to be authorised, logged, and defensible afterwards. We build this layer, and we build the enterprise layer above it, which is why plant data reaches the business without the plant being opened up to it.

01

Deterministic control

PID and model predictive control libraries over deterministic fieldbus, with redundant controllers engineered for 99.999 per cent availability and loop performance monitored continuously.

02

Protocol gateways

Native DNP3, IEC 61850, MODBUS, OPC UA, and MQTT Sparkplug, with store-and-forward buffering so a link outage never becomes a hole in the record.

03

Historian and trends

Years of telemetry kept at full resolution with sub-second query, so engineering and data science read the same history rather than two summaries of it.

04

Alarms that stay useful

Rationalised alarm sets, shelving with expiry, and flood suppression aligned to ISA-18.2, so the one alert that matters is still visible at three in the morning.

05

AI where a limit cannot reach

Multivariate anomaly detection, soft sensors, and remaining useful life estimation that catch what no fixed alarm threshold ever will.

06

Secure OT and IT convergence

Purdue-model segmentation, unidirectional gateways where the risk demands them, and IEC 62443 evidence collected automatically rather than assembled before an audit.

Why we build this way

Our philosophy

Three principles behind every architectural decision we make.

Our approach

01

A model is not a product.

What makes intelligence useful is the retrieval layer that gives it context, the evaluation that proves it is right, the guardrail that stops it when it is not, and the interface that puts the answer in front of the person who has to act. We build all four, every time.

02

Software is a business system, not a deliverable.

A repository handed over at the end of a project is not a result. We measure what the system does in production, on latency, uptime, cost per transaction, and the hours it gives back, and we stay accountable for those numbers after go-live.

03

The stack is a single organism.

You cannot fix an application without the data beneath it, or a data platform without the systems that feed it, or a plant without the control layer that runs it. Optimising one layer while ignoring the next is how most transformation budgets are spent.

The whole picture

Why an end-to-end partner

Most vendors sell one layer and hope somebody else covers the rest. BluMargins builds all of them, and is accountable for the seams between them.

Diagnostic monitors in a fusion experiment control room

The data scientist

Cares about
models, features, and accuracy
Doesn’t think about
the production system the model has to survive in

The application developer

Cares about
features and release cadence
Doesn’t think about
the data platform and the cloud bill underneath

The IT manager

Cares about
uptime, support, and licences
Doesn’t think about
where AI could remove the ticket entirely

The plant engineer

Cares about
control loops and availability
Doesn’t think about
the enterprise systems waiting for plant data

BluMargins thinks about all of it.

We build the intelligence layer, the application layer, the data layer, the cloud layer, and the control layer, and we answer for the joins.

Bring us the whole problem.

Tell us where the work is stuck, whether that is a model that never reached production, an application nobody can change, a data platform nobody trusts, or a plant the business cannot see. An engineer replies with a first read, not a sales deck.
